Allen-Major, Doreen: - Doreen received her B.Sc., in education and M.Sc.Ed in counselling Psychology at the University of Miami. At Grace Community Church in Nassau, The Bahamas she presently serves as a Ladies Small Group Leader, Children's Ministry Leader and a member on the Global Missions Board. In 2014, she received The Honors Award for Genesis Academy for Outstanding Christian Ministry in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and, in 2015 the same award was given to her from St. Michael's Methodist Church. She has been in the counselling field for 28 years. Through her counselling career with families, Doreen has become thoroughly convinced that the roles of the wife are many and weighty. She has seen their plights and empathized with their circumstances. They need help and encouragement, and with this in mind, the Holy Spirit burdened her to write Turning Point Wives; Wives of yesterday speak to wives of today.
