And Tina has had experience in keeping it together in life as she has made it to the other side of both addictions and cancer. Indigenous author, ICU Nurse Tina brings a layered lens and specific insights, as the journey she has travelled has been as both the patient and the health care provider. Mental health is something we cannot ignore anymore, and the way to achieve that is through self-care. And the cool thing about self-care is we have control over it. I know sometimes life can be overwhelming and we might feel like we don't have control over very much but the one thing we always have control over is our "Self-Care".We have come to understand that the foundation for living well is set by our self. Mental health and well being are earned by making good choices based in self-love, investing in our selves, and to know we are worth it. And then of course there is a little bit of discipline. But there is a way! Let's build strength and resilience together, and take that first small step.
