Anderson, Delonn: - Delonn Mae Brekke Anderson was born in a small town in South Dakota. She acquired her love for animals and water while living in a town between two small lakes, with a creek in her back yard. As a small child she loved going to her town's library with the lush, grassy lawn surrounding the building with all the beautiful books!While acquiring her master's degree, she wrote a paper titled Children: Authors and Illustrators. In doing this research and writing, she developed a five-step program in which teachers could take their students on a journey of developing a picture book, including an author's tea at the end to celebrate each child's unique, individual story. As a result of this work and the work she has done over forty-two years of elementary teaching, she decided to write a children's book.John and Delonn enjoy living in Arizona with their two adult children and their spouses, who have provided eight enjoyable grandchildren plus three grand-dogs!
