Ador cartea! Coperta este minunată iar personajele și acțiunea sunt , după părerea mea, foarte interesante. Cartea are un aer misterios care te tine în suspans și te face să vrei să afli cât mai mult. De-abia aștept să citesc și următoarele două cărți!��✨������

Pentru o persoana care iubeste genul fantasy si a crescut devorand carti precum seriile Harry Potter, Twilight, Instrumente mortale si multe altele, viziunea mea asupra lumii magice este ampla, bine dezvoltata. Greu mai sunt impresionata de noi lumi in care magia se ascunde printre noi, deoarece nu prea mai descopar carti cu idei noi si fresh. Cumva insa, aceasta carte a ajuns in mainile mele si a dorit sa fie citita pana la capat. Chiar daca nu a fost extrem de captivanta si de complexa de la bun inceput, ceva ma tot facea sa raman cu gandul la ea si abia asteptam sa ma intorc acasa si sa intru in Taramul din Nord a lui Evangeline.
Trebuie sa recunosc faptul ca scrierea lui Stephanie Garber nu este grea (avand in vedere ca este a 4- a carte a ei), treci foarte repede prin carte, poate deveni chiar putin plictisitoare pe alocuri (se poate observa insa ca in urmatoarele 2 carti din aceasta serie modul in care autoarea scrie si in care personajele sunt portretizate a evoluat). Recunosc insa si apreciez modul in care Stephanie a dat viata unei asa lumi fermecatoare, in care magia ne urmareste la fiecare pas, totul in jur pare ca pluteste si este inconjurat de lumini sclipitoare, iar faptul ca dragonii sunt decrisi a fi asa dragalase animale "de companie" este uimitor.
In aceasta prima carte din serie, personajul principal, Evangeline, nu pare un unul complex, ba chair este foarte naiva si usor influentata de restul personajelor. Faptul ca mereu stim ceea ce "eroina" noastra gandeste si simte cu fiecare intamplare, pe mine ca cititor m-a ajutat la un anumit nivel sa traiesc ca si cum si eu as fi cu ea.
Un punct slab mi-a parut repetarea descrierilor (de aici consider ca scrierea este una usoara), deoarece nu este nevoie sa tii minte anumite aspecte, iar semnele de intrebare nu sunt asa multe incat sa se creeze loc si pentru suspans (asta cel putin, pana spre finalul cartii).

Such a good premise for a trilogy and an even better continuation for the Caraval series fans!
I've been dying to see more of Jacks and this book really delivered in showing us more facets of the antihero/villainous character (depending on who you ask).
Being a sucker for morally grey MMCs and believable, multi-dimensional FMCs, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the ending had me hungry for the sequel.
