Messages from the Soul is a compilation of poetry by the author, Vinoa-Ebron Wilson, which also contains poetry written by her daughter, Ivana Monique and her mother, Dora Lee Ebron-Keyes. She is a native of Brooklyn, New York who now resides in Houston, Texas. Vinoa started writing poetry at the age of 13 after being traumatized by an incident that almost ended her life. Due to the incident, Vinoa found it difficult to verbally express herself without stammering or stuttering, but very easy to share her story and life in writing poetry. Vinoa is the daughter of Dora Lee Keyes-Ebron and the late, Robert Lee Ebron. She is one of five sisters and nine brothers; the wife of Pastor W. Frank Wilson and the mother of two children, Benjamin Preston and Ivana Monique.
