Russia's literary world is shaken to its foundations when a mysterious gentleman - a professor of black magic - arrives in Moscow, accompanied by a bizarre retinue of servants. Nepotrivită etic, creștin etc.
În primul rând cartea este destul de greu de parcurs, atât datorită stilului rusesc de scriere, cât și, probabil traducerii propriu-zise. Este un stil mult mai dificil decât A. C. Doyle sau George Orwell, de exemplu.
Apoi, deși conceptul cărții este critica la adresa corupției și chiar ateismului practicate de elita socială sovietică, modul în care sunt descrise patimile lui Isus Cristos este unul dezgustător, de-a dreptul. Nu am putut termina lectura... Un autor care, după mine, nu merită niciun credit!
