The author spent the first 15 years of her life in HUNGARY as an only CHILD TO 2 HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR PARENTS. in 1963 she moved, together with her parents, to the United States. The memoir describes life under COMMUNISM/SOCIALISM as well as the HUNGARIAN REVOLUTION of 1956. It also describes the IMMIGRATION experience for younger as well as older people. The author lives with her husband close to her children and grandchildren, and she devotes some of her time to HOLOCAUST EDUCATION.
