ISOBEL MADDISON is Fellow Emerita at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, where she was College Lecturer and Director of Studies in English (2007-2021), as well as being Vice President from 2013-2019. She works primarily on the connections between modernism and popular literature. Her publications
include Elizabeth von Arnim: Beyond the German Garden (2013). Isobel is a founding member of the International Elizabeth von Arnim Society, and she remains on the steering group and was President of the society between 2015-2019.
