A young woman comes of age, as she navigates the turbulent political currents of 1954-1955 Iran while the underground Tudeh (communist) party unravels.

She discovers that the man she loves is facing the death sentence for his politics and resolves to save him, negotiating with the powerful men who can change her destiny.
