Strength of an African Woman is a story of the physical and spiritual journey of a young Eritrean woman evading mandatory military service conscription in her home country; her trials and physical abuse after being caught by Eritrean officials; her daring and thrilling escape from the women's military training center, running over fifty miles across the Eritrean Desert; finding her way alone through Ethiopia and Uganda; her abusive marriage to a South African; her struggle to get her and her son to safety; and, ultimately, her Faith in God and Praise for His Goodness through it all.

About the Author

Michael C. Tredway was born in Tripoli, Libya, Africa and has spent much of his adult life including most of the past 25 years working in Africa facilitating national infrastructure development, peace monitoring, and humanitarian assistance. He has lived and worked in more than 20 countries of the 54 nations in Africa. Tredway has five grown sons and five grandchildren-Maverick, Aubrie, Luke, and twins Austyn and Abilene. He currently lives in Uganda with his wife and stepdaughter, Heaven.
