Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda Special Edition - Becky Albertalli

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda Special Edition

A William C. Morris Award winner for Best Young Adult Debut of the Year and long-listed for the National Book Award, Albertelli's incredibly funny and poignant 21st-century coming-of-age, coming-out story about a young gay teen who comes out to his classmates is now a major motion picture, releasing on March 16.

Now a major motion picture: Love, Simon, starring Nick Robinson and Katherine Langford

This special edition of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by award-winning author Becky Albertalli includes new Simon and Blue emails, a behind-the-scenes scrapbook from the Love, Simon movie set, and Becky Albertalli in conversation with fellow authors Adam Silvera and Angie Thomas.

Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: If he doesn't play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone's business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he's been emailing with, will be jeopardized.

With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon's junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated.

Now change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he's pushed out-without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he's never met.

William C. Morris Award Winner: Best Young Adult Debut of the Year * National Book Award Longlist

Plus don't miss Yes No Maybe So, Becky Albertalli's and Aisha Saeed's heartwarming and hilarious new novel, coming in 2020
