Throughout history, people have been drawn to unseen energies at sacred sites around the world. In the American Southwest, a tourist will soon discover a forgotten power that could change the Earth forever.

Gregor Buckingham, a young man scarred from a childhood fire, has very little going for him - no family, a heartbreaking job and an existence untouched by intimacy. Whenever bitterness threatens to overtake him, he finds peace through meditative escape or by letting his mind drift into the night sky. Now, Sedona is calling to him.

On a camping trip to the Northern Arizona town celebrated for mysterious energy vortexes, UFO sightings and other paranormal activity, Gregor finds hope in a nonbeliever and discovers a lost ancient power. He also encounters a mortal enemy he must fight to save them both.

Reverend August Briar believes himself destined to be God's greatest prophet, and he anoints himself the supreme commander in the divine fight against Sedona's blasphemous nature-lovers, which he calls the Crystal Cult. When he witnesses the power wielded by Gregor, he must decipher God's will from the contradictions tearing at his faith.
