Ure, Midge: - Midge Ure was born in Glasgow, Scotland. His vocation to be a musician was discovered in the 1960s to becoming one of the most successful musicians of his generation and selling more than 20 million albums. From playing in various rock and pop bands in Scotland he went onto join punk band Rich Kids in 1978, played guitar for Thin Lizzy and joined Ultravox and Visage by the end of the '70s. During the 80's he had phenomenal success with Ultravox, co-founder and writer of the 12 million-selling 'Do They Know It's Christmas' and the Band Aid charity.
