This book is a fictional story that is based on over 300 cases of patients that have developed mesotheliomas and ovarian cancer from the use of Cosmetic Talcum Powder. The author is a Professor in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Pathologist at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City that has been testing human tissues for asbestos for approximately 40 years. The book was written in conjunction with a writer and author, Joel Brokaw, with a history of top publications on the New York Times Best Seller List. The author, most recently, has taken on the testing of for asbestos in patients that have been exposed to only Cosmetic talcum powders as well as the testing of the powders themselves for the presence of asbestos.
