Golden Rose is a coming of age story of a 25-year-old African-American woman trying to break free from her past of an drug-dealing father who was murdered and a grief-stricken mother who turned to drugs and alcohol instead of her daughter. Golden is a natural fashionista with dreams of fashion design school but is stuck between the past of her parents' street life and her possible future in fashion design. A fork in the road awaits her: will Golden let fast money rule her life or will she form her own identity and follow her dreams?
