It is based on primary sources from local newspapers, church and town histories, periodicals, minutes of denominational conferences, and numerous other historical sources. The book is presented to the current generation of church leaders in Vermont to inspire them to cry out and labor for the next glorious outpouring of the Spirit in this state. David Foxworth has studied the subject of revival for over forty years. He has visited many historic revival sites in the United States, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales for the purpose of of research and prayer. He founded Lighthouse Christian Church in Montpelier, Vermont and served as senior pastor for fifteen years. In 2011 he earned a Ph.D in Renewal Studies from Regent University. He served as the Department Head of Biblical Studies for a seminary in Charlotte, N. C. He is married to Patty for 31 years. They currently reside in Rock Hill, S. C.
