Finley the fox is starting school. He likes learning at home with Mama. She makes him blueberry pancakes for lunch and he plays hide and seek with his good friend, Fiona. New things are challenging and Finley worries. Sometimes he worries just a little and sometimes he worries a lot. But he is learning to recognize his thoughts, honor them and gently move through them with compassion. This sweet story is about learning to navigate new settings and notice when worries are getting a little bit too big. Mama and Fiona help Finley see that you only do something for the first time once. Finley learns more than one way to calm a worry.

This story was created by a mother of three children, one who is a worrier just like her. Finley Feels Worried is the first in a series to help bridge the developmental gap that came during our time away from group settings. Expression and communication of our emotions typically develops as our exposure to small and larger groups. This story provides gentle, age appropriate situations for excellent conversation starters and fun story time. The sweet night time ending makes it a perfect bedtime story too!
