Dana Becker writes Amish romantic suspense as well as narrative non-fiction, including The Happily Ever After: A Memoir of an Unlikely Romance Novelist (Knopf/Doubleday), under the name Avi Steinberg. As Avi Steinberg, Dana is also a regular contributor for The New York Times Magazine and The New Yorker's Culture Desk blog. Born in Jerusalem and raised in Ohio, in a home where tradition and faith were everything, Dana spent many summers in the middle of Western Pennsylvania Amish country, getting to know Amish neighbors and their ways.
