Friedrich Demnitz was first clarinettist of the Königskapelle of Dresden in the latter half of the 19th century. His Elementary Clarinet Tutor is a perfect early study for new clarinetists, with simple exercises to develop good tone production, legato, staccato and other phrasing and contains exercises to develop fluency in multiple keys.
