Damian Decides is the story of a young boy's desire to find his place in the world. He desperately wants to prove that's he's big and brave and strong, but he only angers and disappoints those important to him. He hears from almost every corner that his gifts are dangerous and worthless. He's in danger of being emotionally crushed when his mom reaches out for help from a trusted family member.

Uncle Joe does not crush him or tell him he's worthless. Instead he models for Damian what true strength looks like, sets him on the path towards making his place in the world, and reiterates life's most important lesson.
