The son of a wealthy New York investment banker, fifteen-year-old Win Canterbury, has grown up with the Manhattan elite. He's accustomed to penthouses, private jets, and the exclusive clubs of the rich and famous. In his eyes common people are a nuisance he'd rather avoid. Win's life is turned upside down when he suddenly finds himself abandoned by his parents, penniless and stranded a thousand miles away on a cotton farm in the Mississippi Delta.
