When Morty, a troubled Californian teen, discovers some old gold coins on a hike in the hill, he knows they are valuable and realises that for the first time in his life, he might have some money, and having some money might be the key to his freedom from life with his alcoholic mother.

But nothing in life is ever that simple, as Morty will soon discover.
