Cerulean, Susan: - For more than three decades, Susan Cerulean has kayaked, hiked, scalloped, fished and counted birds on and around Dog, the St. Georges and St Vincent islands. She is author of I Have Been Assigned the Single Bird: A Daughter's Memoir (2020); Coming to Pass: Florida's Coastal Islands in a Gulf of Change (2015) which was awarded a Gold Medal for Florida Nonfiction by the Florida Book Awards; and Tracking Desire: A Journey after Swallow-tailed Kites (2005), which was named Editor's Choice by Audubon magazine.
