Nicholas is a young, selfish, and sometimes mean boy who always wants more toys. He's shocked when he transforms into a bird with three gold feathers, and vows to find a way to become a boy again. In his search, he continues his selfish ways with those he encounters. But after he meets a kind, young girl, he questions his behavior and considers giving up his gold feathers.
