To live through the atrocities of World War II and the worst work camp in history, will no doubt change a person.

It shows how despite the worst circumstances, people can still show love and compassion toward one another. It strives to show that no matter how cruel the torture, the one thing the enemy cannot take is our spirit.

This novel is inspired by the story of Henry Korman's life. It will give you an in-depth look at what life was like inside the barbed-wire fences of Auschwitz. It will also show you the effect that these experiences had on one man, leading him away from anger and hate, toward a life of service to others. A few years before he died, Henry was quoted as saying: "I worry what will happen when I and others like me are no longer here to tell the story. I want people to keep reading about it and for them to leave tears on the paper."
